Situated on the edge of the Great Thar Desert, Rohat is a village in Pali district of Rajasthan state. It is an old town with rustic rural charms. It is famous for its heritage hotel - Rohet Garh, which was the residence of the erstwhile rulers of Rohet. It was bestowed upon Thakur Dalpat Singh I for his courage and valor in military campaigns under the Rathores. Soon Rohet became one of the most important feudal estates of the state of Marwar. Sprawling over acres of manicured gardens, Rohet Garh is bound to seduce you at the first sight. Situated far from the maddening crowd, on the banks of a lake and set in the midst of rural setup, it is a royal retreat. A palatial mansion, it has now been converted into a plush heritage hotel by the owners.
