Mussoorie is a hill town in the Dehradun District of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is about 35 kilometers (22 mi) from the state capital of Dehradun and 290 km (180 mi) north of the national capital of New Delhi.

Mussoorie is one of the most popular hill stations in North India. With a backdrop of the Shivalik range of the Himalayas and Doon Valley, Mussoorie, also known as Queen of The Hills, is situated at an average altitude of 6500 feet above sea level. It has a cool, pleasant climate throughout the year. The fact is that it was a popular holiday destination during the British era can be seen in British remnants in the town, such as the colonial architecture of the hotels and churches.
