With healthy curiosity about what India would offer us in the next 16 days. Planned: Varanasi, Jaipur, Agra, Delhi, Leh, Nubra Valley, and Pangong Lake. On April 2, we arrived in Varanasi. The curiosity was quickly replaced by wonder and reassurance. The local guide and driver carefully and attentively led us through the holy city and showed us the hidden gems. A great start that immediately reassured us that choosing Boutindia was the right decision.
Next stop: Jaipur. Here too, we were fully guided by the local driver and guide. And here too, our mouths dropped open at the beauty we witnessed. Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Jawai Sai Singh, City Palace, Jai Mahal, Amber Fort & local crafts... Not enough time to fully experience everything, but that was our choice.
From Jaipur, we then drove to Agra, where, besides the indescribably beautiful Taj Mahal, we were also overwhelmed by Agra Fort. The guidance was also excellent here.
From Agra we continued our journey to Delhi. Old and New Delhi. On our "to visit" list: Jama Masjid, drive past Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, a rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk and walk through Khari Baoli Street at Chandni Chowk, visit Humayun's Tomb, visit Qutub Minar, and so much more. Everything was very professionally guided. After this, it was time for exciting times.
Off to the high mountains. From Delhi we flew to Leh where we were met by a top driver and the best guide we ever had. Always extremely careful and concerned about our health at this high altitude, we explored the beautiful Leh together with its palace and monastery. An exciting yet extremely safe ride along a mountain peak of 5600 meters (18,300 feet) through an unexpected snowfall brought us to the marvelous Nubra Valley where, thanks to Laxmi from BoutIndia, we could enjoy the Apricot Festival in Turkut. last destination of this trip: Pangong Lake. A saltwater lake at an altitude of 4300 meters. A beautiful area to enjoy the last day of zen peace before we had to return home via Delhi.
Throughout the entire trip, we were contacted daily by someone from BoutIndia. Surprisingly, sometimes even in person at the accommodation where we stayed. Regarding these accommodations: due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to be rebooked late twice. No worries, because BoutIndia ensured that we received the perfect lodgings (upgrades).
In summary: everywhere we were excellently guided by a super team that took care of us and shared their knowledge of their country and region with healthy pride.
This guidance, both before and during the trip, gives us the feeling that we already want to return to the wonderfully beautiful India. And without a doubt, this will happen with the professional top organization of BoutIndia (thank you Laxmi :) ).
Thank you for giving us these moments!
