"The City Beautiful" - Chandigarh was the first planned city of India, executed by world-renowned French architect Le Corbusier. The city was built and planned after independence of India and is well-known internationally for its urban design, amazing architecture and landscape. It is a union territory that is the capital of both Punjab state as well as Haryana state. The city is also reported as the cleanest city of India.

The Capitol complex, which is also often referred to as Le Corbusier Centre, this UNESCO World Heritage Site has now been converted into a museum.
