Chandigarh shows itself off to global travellers much like greater India would wish to be seen – prosperous, comfortable, and cosmopolitan. Officially a union territory controlled by the central government, Chandigarh is the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana. It is also the first planned city of independent India. Stretched along the lovely Parvati River, with mountains rising all around. Amritsar is the holiest place of the Sikh Religion.
Manali is a year-round magnet. Backpackers come to hang out in the hippie villages around the main town; adventurers come for trekking, climbing, rafting, and skiing; Indian families and honeymooners come for the mountain air and a taste of snow on the 3978m Rohtang La pass. Dharamshala is known as the home of the Dalai Lama, but the untidy market town where the buses pull in is Lower Dharamshala. The Tibetan spiritual leader is based 3km up the hill in Upper Dharamsala, also known as McLeod Ganj, and that's where most visitors are heading. Dalhousie is another of those cool hill retreats left behind by the British. Founded in the 1850s by the viceroy whose name it bears, its heyday came in the 1920s, '30s, and '40s when Lahore society flocked here for its holidays.

This review is long overdue. Vinny and Himanchu listened keenly to understand what we were looking for and then worked tirelessly to create an itinerary that was perfect for my family and I. Indeed we remember it as one of the best vacations we've taken. Our visit from Delhi to Leh to Nubra Valley to Agra to Jaipur and back to Delhi was carefully orchestrated with all the comforts and amenities that allowed for a 1st class travel excursion. We had local guides knowledgeable with the local attractions along the way and Himachu accompanied us on all the domestic travel - both flights and train. It was a delig.... Read More

Had an amazing 26 day tour organised by Kunal at Bout India. We threaded a fantastic trip across India around 3 of the World Cup cricket matches. Ahmedabad - added to our Gandhi knowledge and took a scary tuk tuk ride. Shimla and Dharamshala - fulfilled a long term dream to go to the Dharamshala cricket ground in the Himalayan foothills. And managed to get up and down the Triund Trek. Amritsar - amazing Golden Temple, our guide helped us to join in rolling some chapatis to feed the needy at La.... Read More

This is my 2nd trip to India with Bout India within 12 months, which should prove that they are the most trustworthy and efficient travel agent if you ever want to explore the amazing country, India. What I love about Bout India is not only their professionalism but also their hospitality spirit and warm welcome to the country. ALL staff members are friendly and easy to communicate from the planning and the departure to your home country. They accommodated my 13 year old daughter and she is already talking about her next visit to India near future. Be open and experience something extraordinary!
Such a great experience, magical atmosphere, wonderful landscapes. Friendly and welcoming people. The guides we had were amazing, very skilled and prepared. The driver made us feel safe and relaxed. The hotels were above our expectations.
Bout India was amazing in helping us to plan a very last minute trip to the amazing Spiti valley! Initially Nitesh and Kunal were able to put together a super itinerary based on our preference, and made their recommendations accordingly. They were able to put us at ease as we had not worked with Bout before, especially given that we had to make the entire payment upfront because of the timeframe. They were able to put us in touch with the local agent in Manali. Geet took over the communication before we reached Manali, and was checking with us constantly throughout the trip. She was able to incorporate places that were not initially planned in the tri.... Read More
Bout India did an excellent job in coordinating a 3 week tour of several regions that included multiple flights. Shakti was our driver for 2 weeks and was knowledgeable of all cities we visited and was highly professional. The vehicle was cleaned daily and stocked with snacks and drinks. The guides were specific to each city we visited and also knowledgeable. Everything was coordinated smoothly and airport pickups went without a hitch. We received daily itineraries from the Bout India office with information about the drivers and guides and their contact information. Any request was quickly responded to by management. Hotels were a mix of chain and local as appropriate for the city being visited.
