Briar Tea Bungalows

Briar Tea Bungalows is a heritage-style plantation retreat located in the Talliar estate near Munnar in Kerala’s Idukki district, set amidst lush tea-gardens and misty hills at an elevation of around 1,600 m. Guests stay in beautifully restored colonial bungalows built nearly a century ago, furnished with teak and rosewood, fireplaces in some rooms, and broad verandahs offering sweeping views over the tea plantations. The atmosphere is serene and authentic—ideal for unplugging in nature, waking up to tea-plucking scenes, and enjoying slow-paced luxury in the Western Ghats. The property also offers plantation walks, guided tea-factory tours, and meals prepared in-house with local produce.
