Tucked on the fringes of Sasan Gir National Park in Gujarat, Aramness Gir strikes an exquisite balance between village-inspired design and refined wilderness luxury. Designed by Nicholas Plewman Architects in collaboration with Fox Browne Creative, it began as a barren tract and was transformed into an immersive eco-luxury retreat set within teak groves and mango orchards.
With just 18 standalone “kothis”—including single- and double-bedroom units—each features a courtyard, upper deck veranda, and private plunge pool. Crafted from local stone, reclaimed wood, and adorned with traditional Lippan mirror work, the interiors reflect both Gujarati heritage and modern elegance.
At mealtimes, the lodge's gastronomic offerings shine. From Aloe vera cocktails and farm-to-table ingredients to signature experiences like Village Dinners and Jungle Barbecues, the cuisine showcases Gujarat’s Kathiyawadi flavors alongside global fare.
Days unfold with twice-daily safaris into Gir with expert naturalists, who guide guests through sightings of Asiatic lions, leopards, deer, and over 300 bird species. On-foot jungle walks, cultural visits to Maldhari villages, spa treatments, yoga, and guided star-gazing sessions further enrich the stay.
The property champions sustainability—60% of its land remains green, materials were locally sourced or reclaimed, and it enforces zero plastic usage. Staff are mostly locals, supporting livelihood and conservation awareness.
