We recently did a 5-day Rajasthan trip with Bout India (Jaipur–Jodhpur–Udaipur) as a family of 6, including my parents, and it turned out to be one of the best-organized trips we've had. A last-minute flight cancellation meant we had to compress our original 6-day plan into 5 days, cutting short our final day in Udaipur. This could have thrown the whole trip off, but our coordinator Laxmi handled it brilliantly — she was constantly in touch, rearranged our hotel stays and itinerary , and kept us updated at every step. That kind of responsiveness during a crunch is what really sets an agency apart.
The stays were lovely and full of character — Shahpura House in Jaipur, Bal Samand Lake Palace in Jodhpur, and Lakend in Udaipur — each with its own charm rather than feeling like generic hotel chains.
In Jaipur, our guide Mr. Karni made the tour of Hawa Mahal , Market , Amer Fort and City Palace visits genuinely interesting, not just a recitation of dates. One nice surprise — Mr. Karni turned out to be quite skilled behind the camera too, and happily took some great family photos for us at each location.
Our driver, Mr. Pawan, was with us for the entire trip — safe, punctual, and easy to be around for 5 days straight with family in tow. The Pushkar stop en route to Jodhpur and the Ranakpur Jain Temple detour to Udaipur were unexpected highlights we hadn't fully anticipated .Jodhpur was a highlight too — Mehrangarh Fort was spectacular, and our guides there,, walked us through its history and the Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace with real enthusiasm. Bal Samand Lake Palace itself felt like staying in a piece of history, peaceful and beautifully kept.
The boat ride on Lake Pichola followed by the city palace and Jagdish temple visit in Udaipur was a perfect note to end the trip on.
Highly recommend Bout India, especially for families — they plan well and, more importantly, adapt well when things don't go as planned.
