Comfort
Pangong Lake Rd, Pangong Lake, Ladakh, India , 194201
Nature’s Nest Camps offers a glamping-style stay right on the banks of Pangong Lake, in Spangmik village, at an altitude of about 14,300 feet (≈ 4,360 m). The camp combines the raw beauty of Ladakh with touches of comfort: spacious luxury tents or geodesic domes, each with ensuite bathrooms, cozy beds, carpeted interiors, side tables, and seating areas where sunrise or moonlight over the lake can be enjoyed.
Meals are multi-cuisine—Indian, Ladakhi, Chinese, and Continental—prepared freshly, and the camp maintains rustic charm while ensuring basic amenities like hot/cold running water, backup lighting, and medical support (oxygen cylinders & doctor-on-call). Silence during night hours, limited electricity, and the sense of being immersed in nature are parts of the experience.
Pangong Tso Lake – The main attraction; vast saltwater lake visible from camp, offering changing colours and peaceful lakeside views.
Tangtse Gompa – A nearby monastery adding cultural contrast to the natural landscapes.
Changchenmo Mountain Range – Visible across the lake, offering majestic backdrop and photographic panoramas.
Start from Leh – the main hub. Pangong is about 150-160 km away by road, depending on route.
The nearest airport is Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. From Leh, hire a taxi or join a shared tour to reach Spangmik.
By road, expect rough patches (especially past Chang La pass) and plan for delays. Night travel is not recommended. Pack warm gear and essentials.
