Manali

Located at an altitude of 2,050 m (6,726 ft) in the Beas River Valley is Manali, a hill station nestled in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh state. Manali is India’s one of the favorite hill stations and tourist destinations. Manali is also often referred to as the “Valley of the Gods”.

The landscape here is breathtaking. One sees well-defined snow-capped peaks and Beas River with its clear water meanders through the town. On the other side are deodar and pine trees, tiny step-fields and fruit orchards. It is an excellent place for a holiday, a favorite resort for trekkers to Lahaul, Spiti, Bara Bhangal (Kangra) and Zanskar ranges. From temples to antiquity, to picturesque sight-seeing spots and adventure activities, Manali is a popular resort for all seasons and for all travelers.

Surrounded by towering mountains, covered with gorgeous colored flowers, and carpeted with rich greenery, this place has numerous temples and is considered a sacred pilgrimage center.
