Planning a Luxury India Tour? Here’s Why We Chose Bout India

We had a great experience with Bout India Tours from start to finish. Initial communication and planning process for a private, custom tour for our family of 4 was efficient and informative, helping us design a tour that fit our needs. In 10 nights we toured the Golden Triangle and 3 cities in Rajasthan. Bout India arranged all hotels, venue/event tickets, guides for each city, and professional drivers and luxury vans to get from place to place. We took care of 2 domestic flights with Bout India providing seamless transfers to/from airports. They were flexible in allowing us to choose a range of hotel standards from ultra luxury to heritage-style/heritage hotels that together provided a unique experience that was also more budget friendly than simply choosing all ultra-luxury hotels. Frankly, our favorite hotels were of the heritage variety, especially Royal Heritage Haveli Jaipur and Damodra Desert Camp in Jaisalmer (best evening music/dancing!), though amazing breakfast, pool, gym at ultra luxury Hotel: Suryagarh Jaisalmer and great lake views at Jagat Niwas Palace Hotel in Udaipur.

Bout also planned the tour to take into account our interests in music and traditional crafts. Nothing repeated. Every city had its own vibe, interesting history, culture, great food, and shopping (too much shopping!). Long drives broken up by key stops at amazing sites, including Chand Baori (Step Well) and Ranakpur Jain Temple, and best ‘lunch on the road’ stop — Maharani Bagh Orchard Retreat.
The company went above and beyond when we purchased a sitar in Agra…arranging for its pickup and transfer back to Delhi, then delivery to the Delhi airport at the end of our trip so that we could fly home with it.

Lastly, Bout India’s operations staff member was in constant contact throughout the trip (and even met us for dinner in Jaipur), which allowed for smooth transitions city to city and schedule adjustments as needed.
