At 9:45 a.m., the train departs from Yesvantpur (YPR), marking the start of an unforgettable journey through the cultural and natural landscapes of Karnataka. You can relax and enjoy the elegant interiors and impeccable service as the train makes its way toward Nanjangud. Around 1:30 p.m., the train arrives at Nanjangud, and a sumptuous lunch is served onboard, offering a variety of regional and international delicacies.
Following lunch, you disembark for an excursion to the renowned Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary. The drive to Bandipur takes approximately one hour and thirty minutes, providing scenic views of the countryside. Upon arrival, an exciting evening wildlife safari is arranged from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., offering you the chance to spot majestic animals such as elephants, tigers, leopards, and various species of deer and birds in their natural habitat.
After the thrilling safari experience, you return to the train by 8:15 p.m., where a delectable dinner awaits onboard. As the train resumes its journey towards Mysore, you can unwind in the comfort of its cabins. The train remains stationed overnight at Mysore, offering a restful end to a day filled with adventure, luxury, and the wonders of the wild.
The day begins with a delightful breakfast served onboard the train, featuring a variety of freshly prepared options to suit all tastes. After breakfast, set out for a guided sightseeing tour of the magnificent Mysore Palace — one of India’s grandest and most opulent royal residences. Also known as the Amba Vilas Palace, this architectural marvel reflects a blend of Hindu, Mughal, Rajput, and Gothic styles and is adorned with intricate carvings, stained glass, and lavish interiors that offer a glimpse into the regal lifestyle of the Wodeyar dynasty.

Bout India did an excellent job in coordinating a 3 week tour of several regions that included multiple flights. Shakti was our driver for 2 weeks and was knowledgeable of all cities we visited and was highly professional. The vehicle was cleaned daily and stocked with snacks and drinks. The guides were specific to each city we visited and also knowledgeable. Everything was coordinated smoothly and airport pickups went without a hitch. We received daily itineraries from the Bout India office with information about the drivers and guides and their contact information. Any request was quickly responded to by management.
