After completing check-in formalities and settling into their luxurious cabins, the train departs from Yesvantpur at 9:45 a.m., marking the beginning of an exciting adventure.

As the scenic landscapes roll by, guests enjoy a relaxing morning on board. By 1:30 p.m., the train arrives at Nanjangud, where a sumptuous lunch is served onboard, offering a taste of regional and continental cuisine. Post-lunch, guests disembark for a road journey to the Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary, which takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, reaching the destination by 2:45 p.m.

The highlight of the day is the thrilling evening wildlife safari from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., offering a chance to witness elephants, deer, and perhaps even the elusive tiger in their natural habitat. After the safari, guests return to the train by 8:15 p.m., where a delectable dinner awaits them on board.

The train then resumes its journey toward Mysore, where guests will spend the night in the comfort of their cabins, stationed at the Mysore Railway Station.

Day 2 - Mysore

The day begins with a delightful breakfast served onboard, as the train remains stationed in the royal city of Mysore. After breakfast, guests set out on a guided sightseeing tour of the magnificent Mysore Palace, one of India’s grandest and most opulent royal residences. With its Indo-Saracenic architecture, intricately carved interiors, and rich historical legacy, the palace offers a glimpse into the grandeur of the Wodeyar dynasty.

Following the visit, guests return to the train in time for a freshly prepared lunch, allowing for some relaxation and leisure onboard.

In the evening, there is an optional excursion to Srirangapatna, a historic island town on the banks of the Cauvery River, known for its association with Tipu Sultan and its impressive temples and ruins. Guests who choose to visit can explore its cultural and historical landmarks before returning to the train.

Dinner is served onboard, offering a variety of gourmet dishes as guests unwind and reflect on a day immersed in the regal charm of Karnataka.

Day 3 - Chikkamagaluru

The day begins with a hearty breakfast served onboard as the Golden Chariot rolls through the serene landscapes of Karnataka. By late morning, the train arrives at Banavara Railway Station, the gateway to the ancient temple town of Halebidu.

Guests disembark here for a guided tour of Halebidu, once the regal capital of the Hoysala Empire. Renowned for its exquisite 12th-century Hoysaleswara Temple, the site is a masterpiece of temple architecture, adorned with intricate stone carvings that depict scenes from Hindu epics and daily life.

After soaking in the rich heritage and artistry of Halebidu, guests return to the train to relax and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch onboard. The Golden Chariot then departs for Chikmagalur, a picturesque hill town nestled in the Western Ghats.

Upon arrival, guests deboard for an immersive plantation tour, where they explore lush coffee estates, learn about the cultivation process, and enjoy a curated coffee tasting session.

This sensory experience concludes with a delightful dinner amid the tranquil surroundings. Afterwards, guests return to the comfort of the Golden Chariot for a restful night onboard.

Day 4 - Hosapete

The morning begins with a wholesome breakfast served onboard as the Golden Chariot makes its way toward the ancient city of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, guests disembark for a guided exploration of Hampi’s magnificent ruins — the remnants of the once-flourishing Vijayanagara Empire.

As they wander through the sprawling landscape of majestic stone temples, pillared halls, royal enclosures, and intricately carved monuments, guests are transported back in time to an era of immense wealth, art, and architecture.

After an enriching tour, guests return to the train to enjoy a sumptuous lunch onboard. The afternoon and evening are reserved for leisure. Dinner is served onboard, featuring a blend of regional and international cuisine. Later in the night, the Golden Chariot continues its journey, setting course for the sunny shores of Goa.

Day 5 - Goa

As the sun rises, the Golden Chariot arrives in Goa, India's vibrant coastal paradise known for its unique blend of Portuguese heritage and Indian culture. Guests begin the day with a delicious breakfast served onboard, after which they set out for a guided sightseeing tour of North Goa.

The tour includes visits to the region’s famed churches—most notably the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral—magnificent examples of Baroque and Portuguese architecture that reflect the state’s colonial past. A visit to a local museum offers further insight into Goa’s rich history and artistic traditions.

After the tour, guests return to the train to enjoy a freshly prepared lunch onboard.

In the evening, the experience shifts from heritage to glamour as guests deboard for a lively Bollywood-themed evening, complete with music, dance, and entertainment that captures the spirit of Indian cinema.

Dinner is served at a local resort or hotel, offering a change of scenery and a chance to savour coastal cuisine in an elegant setting. After dinner, guests return to the Golden Chariot, which soon departs for its final leg toward Bengaluru. For those who choose to dine later or prefer the comforts of the train, dinner is also available onboard as the train gently rolls through the night.

Day 6 - Bangalore

As the Golden Chariot winds down its unforgettable voyage, guests awaken to a serene morning onboard and are served a delightful breakfast, marking the final meal of this royal experience.
